Recently I’ve seen lots of posts about manifesting. I smile to myself. I too teach about manifesting and creating the life you want. No matter how many of us talk about how to manifest, the bottom line is all of us can create the life we want. The big question is – why don’t we then.
Well, according to Patajanli, the great sage and author of the Yoga Sutras, it is the mind, or more precisely the ego, that stands in the way of us connecting with our true selves and shining our light out to the world. The eight limbs of yoga are suggested as a way to break down the barriers and eventually lead to oneness and Samadhi (bliss).
While devotion to a yoga practice has been wonderful for me, it is not a quick fix or the way for each person. There are so many gems in yoga. We in the west tend to focus on the body, yet the calming the mind is the true goal of yoga.
I suggest a simple manifesting practice whether or not you are on a yoga path.
Rituals are meant to be your own so take these steps and personalize them for yourself. Not sure how, do not know how to hear your intuition, check out my free call on June 20th, 6 pm MST, Luminous Alignment: Use the Sacred Power of the Moon to Empower your Life. Register here.
The Ritual:
1. Light a candle, pull a card, sit outside (something that signifies you are creating sacred space)
2. Take a few deep breaths.
3. Connect with your source—Goddess, Spirit, Nature
4. Sit quietly for 5 minutes; use a timer.
5. Set your intention for what you want to manifest—for the day, the year, a particular event
6. Listen throughout your day for answers – through people, signs, knowing
Know that we don’t always get what we ask for exactly how we expect it to show nor does it come to us in our time. Be patient and be open to possibility.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, concerns, and about things that show up.
